BOOK: ALIVE (THE GENERATIONS TRILOGY #1)
AUTHOR: SCOTT SIGLER
FORMAT / PUBLISHER: HARDBOUND / DEL REY BOOKS
A young woman awakes trapped in an enclosed space. She has no idea who she is or how she got there. With only her instincts to guide her, she escapes her own confinement—and finds she’s not alone. She frees the others in the room and leads them into a corridor filled with the remains of a war long past. The farther these survivors travel, the worse are the horrors they confront. And as they slowly come to understand what this prison is, they realize that the worst and strangest possibilities they could have imagined don’t even come close to the truth.
*i would like to thank random house kids for sending me a finished copy of this book. this doesn’t affect nor influence my review.*
This book is one of a kind. Why?
It made me feel all the rush. It made feel more enthralled and it left me hanging after reading every chapter. I still can’t move on with this book. It’s not the typical book I’m always holding. There is SOMETHING in this book. Something odd and amazing. I think i won’t stop raving about this book!
This was me after reading a chapter: “HOLY SHIT. I WON’T STOP READING THIS. I WON’T STOP. NOT AT ALL.”
This book. This book is pure genius. This is my cup of tea.
This was the kind of horror / sci-fi book I am looking for. Scott Sigler’s writing style was unique and fantastic. This one’s a breathtaking and a mind blowing book. My experience with this book was unexplainable (At first, I actually have no idea how to start this review.). I actually dived into this book without knowing anything except the fact that I’ve read the synopsis. I didn’t read reviews and such because I wanted to avoid getting spoiled even in the smallest way.
Are you going to read the book? The lesser thing you know about Scott Sigler and his book, the better.
My description of the characters would be very vague because I want you, guys, to experience the thrill I’ve felt while READING this piece of gem. Ugh. It was just so good. I can’t handle it anymore.
Let these variables be your legend throughout my description. Yup, I just said “variables”. I love math. 😛
L – lady
OP – other people
S – something wild
A lady woke up inside the coffin. That was weird.
She didn’t know her name. That was weirder.
She didn’t know how she got there. That was the weirdest.
The L got out of the coffin but she saw more coffins with OP inside. That’s creepy though. The L had no idea what had happened but she knew that she needs to escape. She didn’t know that there was S in that place. Where is the LADY? READ the fucking book.
I want you, guys, to remain confused right now. Why? You’ll know what I mean when you’re actually reading the book.
Obviously, I would rate it 5 BIG SHIMMERING stars! I am definitely expecting something from the second book.
Scott, you are simply amazeballs! Hands down to you!
Wow wow wow, great review! This book is on my TBR but it wasn’t much of a priority. Hm… Now I think I’ll have to move it up a bit!
