April has been a tough month even though it’s my summer break! Why? Oh, READING SLUMP is the worst. I think I had it on the 1st week of April (which sucks big time!). Nevertheless, I’m still happy with the number of books that I got to read last month. Without further ado, here are the books that I’ve read this April.
-ARCs-
- What’s Broken Between Us by Alexis Bass – 3 stars
The premise was interesting. I really liked the concept of this book. It’s just that… I had some slight issues with this book.
- Ask Me How I Got Here by Christine Heppermann – 3 stars
The writing style of this book was unique because it’s written in verses, but the way it was told was not really good. I think it needed more elaboration because the events went too fast.
-Finished Copies-
- The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas
One of the best mystery books. My book review is already up so you’ll get to read more about it. I actually buddy read it with Justine of Bookwormaniac.
- The Last Summer of Us by Maggie Harcourt – 4 stars
One of the most heartbreaking books I’ve ever read. I buddy read this one with Hazel of Stay Bookish.
- What I Couldn’t Tell You by Faye Bird – 5 stars
This one was amazing & astonishing! You can now grab a copy of this book because it’s finally out in the world.
- The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner – 5 stars
One hella great book! Don’t ask me why. I already posted my review for this one!! 😉
- Stolen Songbird by Danielle Jensen – 5 stars
This one was highly recommended to me by one of my closest friends. Don’t worry, I’m not going to get Tristan from you. It was my first time reading something about trolls, too!
Thank you so much, Harper Collins International, for sending me Please Don’t Tell, Ask Me How I Got Here, and We Were Never Here.
Thank you so much, Penguin Random House, for sending me Lily and Dunkin & Julia Vanishes.
Thank you so much, Madison, for sending me this trilogy.
My close friend, Melissa of The Reader and The Chef, secretly sent me a copy of this book. She has been telling me to read it and when I got it, I instantly read it and loved Tristan the book. 😛
Thank you so much, Mira Ink, for sending me a copy of Unrivaled.
Thank you so much, Usborne YA, for sending me a copy of What I Couldn’t Tell You.
Thank you so much, Rock The Boat, for sending me a copy of Tell Us Something True.
Nothing much has changed, but it’s already SUMMER BREAK so I can finally read more books (hopefully!). I’m really excited to read more books. Also, my bookstagram hit 6K followers (*throws confetti*). Thank you so much, bookworms! Furthermore, unexpected things had happened these past few days. I’m glad everything’s back to normal now. Thank you for reading this post, bookworms! Have a great start for the month of May! ❤
So many awesome books this past month! Congrats on reaching 6k on your Bookstagram, that is very exciting!
