If you missed my earlier post about the S.F.D., here is a recap: Sassy’s Fangirl Debuts was created by Talina from Sassy and Dangerous. It’s a feature wherein we, the secret agents, help the authors dominate the bookish nation. Today I am so excited to go on with my third mission for Sassy’s Fangirl Debuts and this mission is all about writing an open letter to a debut author! I have been assigned to write a letter to: Ashley Herring Blake!
First mission: Open Letter to Lygia Day Penaflor
Hi Ashley,
It was awesome to meet someone new in the bookish world. I’m so glad I was assigned to write a letter for you. First of all, let me just tell you that we’ll be best buds. Why? You love coffee, I love coffee. You write poems, I read them. You’re a teacher, “Hi Ma’am”! Hahaha. I may sound as a new fan of you and your book but I’m really excited to spill / blurb something about it.
When I read the synopsis of your book (Suffer Love), it had me intrigued. Family problems? Complicated family relationships? Unexpected love? Fate? Yup, they caught my attention. I’m sure I’m going to read this book next year. I’m also sure that a lot of people will somehow relate with the characters of Suffer Love. I know that I’m not the only who’s excited for the release of your book. I actually am seeing a LOT of great reviews of your book from Goodreads and that makes me more excited, to be honest with you!
Well, I wouldn’t make this letter very long but please remember that I’ll always be here for you. ALWAYS. Fangirl forever!
Love,
Jasmine Pearl xx
Hadley St. Clair’s life changed the day she came home to a front door covered in slips of paper, each of them revealing the ugly truth about her father. Now as her family falls apart in the wake of his year-long affair, Hadley wants everyone-her dad most of all-to leave her alone.
Then she meets Sam Bennett, a cute new boy who inexplicably “feels like home” to Hadley. Hadley and Sam’s connection is undeniable, but Sam has a secret about his family that could ruin everything.
If you want to read the letters of the other agents, feel free to check their blogs. I know they’re awesome-sauce! ❤
